[...] The reason that you can feel 100% comfortable giving your child homeopathic arnica for injuries is because it is super diluted. That’s how homeopathy works. If you need some convincing about why homeopathy is safe, read this past blog. In addition, I try to explain why homeopathic remedies work so well and so quickly but are still safe here.
Regina, that's what's going on with Ayla. I can still SEE the patches. Though they are not inflamed, but clearly still there. But she is telling me that they don't itch anymore.

I had tried homeopathy. But I was told to use Sulphur 6X and it did nothing for her. Really, I've felt paralyzed to take any big steps trying out stuff on my own with her only because she's had so many issues and seen so many doctors, that I hesitate doing anything aggressive on my own. Mostly because I don't want to take a step backwards and have one of them say to me, "Ok, you had your chance, now we're done humoring your natural remedies, it's time for _____." And I know that with homeopathy (especially in the 30C or 200C version) sometimes things get WAY worse just before being cured. Status quo seemed to protect me a bit. I hope that makes sense. I've been so scared of something happening where, perhaps she's healing but it looks worse.

That's why I liked this study, because it virtually promised that it would move forward without going backwards first, and the only reason I was willing to try it.

The 30C is really helping now. I will update soon.

I have to laugh about using shirts to pick him up. Only a mama with an eczema baby would know EXACTLY what you mean. :/

And yes, vaccines make it so much worse. There's a gradual calm down after the initial insane inflammation, but we also have ceased vaccines because of this.

Well, see I kind of have a different feeling on eczema not being life threatening. Because of the raw skin and the MRSA problem in the US right now, it can be a dangerous condition. Like, I know eczema itself is not, but when my baby was only six months old she ended up getting a MRSA infection and had to be on very strong antibiotics for a MONTH. (This was before I learned about raw honey and oil of oregano or it would have been a different perspective, which is why I urge parents to learn about alternative courses so much. I wasted a good year dealing with this, doing BLEACH baths at the advice of the doctors) We had to go in twice to check her liver functioning because antibiotics these days have to be so strong and even still end up often ineffective, as was the case with my daughter. The antibiotics screwed up so much for her. Thankfully they didn't ruin their liver. Eczema is scary when faced with the reality of potential secondary infections once people learn as I did how much of a serious problem MRSA is in the US. Hospital acquired secondary infections alone that people only get BECAUSE they go there kill more people in the US than AIDS. I never wanted to take my daughter to the hospital after this, and when I felt the need to... like when she stuck a bean in her nose, the secondary concerns were overpowering. I made sure everyone washed their hands and gloved up before touching her. Put her in long sleaves so that she didn't catch something in her raw area. It was a NIGHTMARE.

Eczema is AWFUL. My baby, Elijah, had dry, sensitive from birth, which developed into severe eczema in the weeks following a vaccine at 2 months (DTap-- we were using an alternative schedule, but due to his reaction we halted vaccines for the foreseeable future). Our homeopath says that he has seen this occur often in sensitive babies. Elijah's eczema became so inflamed that the doc was concerned about scarring. Now, at 16 months he is almost entirely clear (just a tiny patch left on his shoulder that doesn't appear to bother him) and his skin is soft and lovely! Eliminating all detergents in our household (even the most natural ones) made an enormous difference. I found this site: http://www.solveeczema.org/ and it was tremendously helpful in outlining the whys and hows of eliminating detergents (which are everywhere and in everything). After removing all detergents from our house and getting rid of all detergent residues, we used homeopathy to clear up the remaining eczema. Homeopathy worked so well that now detergents at others' houses and out in the world don't bother him. Relatives can pick him up without having to borrow one of my shirts first! He still has occasional flares, mostly food related, and a couple days back on the remedy will clear him up once again. Our homeopath prescribed Sulphur first, at different potencies, trying both wet and dry doses. It had no effect for Elijah. What did work was the second remedy he prescribed, Calc. Sulph. 6X. Dawn, I'm surprised that you hadn't tried homeopathy for the eczema already. I've learned so much about homeopathy from you, and you're usually 10 steps ahead of me! ;)

I know what you mean, Dawn, about wishing she'd grow up already. That's how I felt. But even knowing the effects of scratching, she really can't help it. Eczema isn't life threatening but it his heartbreaking.

Finally getting to my laptop. I have seen some improvement, but what's far more heartening is the improvement she reports. She is touching her skin, instead of scratching and her mood is far better. She's not whined nor picked a fight all day. She's more agreeable.

Or try this link: http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/623042/description#description

Then on the left choose free sample issue:

It's volume 101, Issue 1. They are both in that one.

Probiotics and coconut oil really helped. Like someone mentioned on facebook, I really think that candida plays a factor in it. Maybe not in the actual condition, but for sure in the inflammation.

Contact dermatitis is very similar looking. Think of things she may be wearing or holding her arm. Maybe it's an easy fix? I would hate to think of her starting to get AD.
